- 2 Cups Fresh Cherries
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup or Honey You can add more if you like a sweeter taste
- 1 Pinch of Cinnamon
- 1 Whole Clove
- 2-3 Cups of Water
For Serving
- 1 Can (12 fl oz) Dark Cherry Flavored Sparkling Water Or any other sparkling water flavor you choose
- 1 Lemon Cut into pieces and frozen with water in ice cube trays
Wash and pit all of your cherries and add them to the saucepan.
Add the cinnamon and clove to the cherries.
Add the water to the saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn your heat down to low and let it simmer for about 20-30 minutes. Keep the lid on.
Make sure to give it a stir every now and then.
After it's done, turn the heat off and leave the juice to cool down for about 15 minutes.
This is where you add the Maple Syrup and stir until everything has dissolved. Taste it to see if you'd like to add more or not.
After you waited for about 15 minutes, put the cheesecloth or mesh strainer over the measuring cup or bowl and pour the mixture through it so all the chunky pieces are separated from the juice.
Pour the juice into your juice bottles. Only make it about a quarter full to leave space for the sparkling water.
Add your Sparkling Water to the juice and then add your lemon ice cubes. This makes for a great and refreshing taste!
Serve and enjoy!
